Local restaurants will be griddling, hashing, scrambling, frying and otherwise going sunny side up as the inaugural Nevada Breakfast Week takes place in Reno July 24-30.

The Nevada Restaurant Association created the event, which raises money for culinary student scholarships through registration fees paid by participating restaurants.

“We are thrilled to host the first annual Nevada Breakfast Week in Northern Nevada . . . as we help fund the education dreams of high school students interested in pursuing a career in the restaurant industry,” said Katherine Jacobi, president and CEO of the Restaurant Association.
