MEET OUR PARTNERS
We do our best to be good neighbors and active members of our community. We’re proud of our biggest little city and want to do our part to make it the sweetest place to be.
RENO REBUILD PROJECT
The Reno Rebuild Project is a concept of the owners of Legends Grill, Sports & Spirits, the Sierra Tap House, Ole Bridge Pub and The Brewer’s Cabinet—local boys who went to elementary, middle, high school, and college in this town, who in 2012, recognized a community need they passionately hope to fill.
NEVADA YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROJECT
Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP), a unique, community-based youth service provider founded in 2007, develops, implements and evaluates programming targeting homeless, aged-out, unprepared, parent less youth (ages 18-24), designed to produce the outcomes desired for older youth and emerging adults; high school graduation, employment, college education, independent housing, good citizenry, and avoidance of welfare.
CHILDREN'S CANCER FOUNDATION
The Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) formed when two foundations in Reno joined forces and legally merged in 2009. Angel Kiss was founded in 2000, in memory of a five-year-old boy named Jarryd who passed away from leukemia, and the Keaton Raphael Memorial, Reno office, was founded in 2004 in memory of a five-year-old boy named Keaton who passed away from neuroblastoma. Despite their losses, these two families gave hope to others battling childhood cancer.
NEVADA HUMANE SOCIETY
Nevada Humane Society (NHS) is a charitable, non-profit organization and the only open-admission, no-kill shelter in the state of Nevada. Incorporated in 1932, it was originally created to address the suffering of local stray animals. In 2007, our Board of Directors changed the mission of the organization to one of lifesaving, promoting animal welfare while finding homes and providing care for homeless pets in Northern Nevada.
