RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) — In celebration of this beloved partnership, The Great Reno Balloon Race and Rounds Bakery held a fundraising event to benefit The Children’s Cabinet on Sunday. Raising $800 for the non-profit organization.
Rounds Bakery’s staff pledged to donate their tips, matched by Rounds Bakery, to The Cabinet. Additionally, for every purchase made, customers received a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a hot-air balloon ride for two at this year’s race.
The Great Reno Balloon Race (GRBR) is the world’s largest free hot-air ballooning event. The event has floated into the hearts and minds of Reno’s visitors and locals for the past 32 years. With nearly 90 balloons and 120,000+ in attendance each year, the event is a permanent fixture in Reno’s Sept. skyline. GRBR is a non-profit organization offering free admission because of it sponsorship support.
